He
may be 97, but he's more on the ball now than
many people half his age. A spring in his step
and a healthy attitude keeps him young.

Memories...
July
birthdays were always good for picnics and barbecues
and outdoor fun. Often we were in Wyoming, fishing
with the Raddens.
For his 95th birthday, his grand-daughter, Von,
created shirts for the whole family commemorating
the event. Grandkids and great-grandkids were
there. Here's
another birthday card.
What
Makes Him Special...
Lee
is an amazing person with enormous talent for
inventiveness. He has created hundreds of gift
items in his cedar shop over the last thirty
years since his retirement.
He
has even built his own wood-working tools using
old motors from clocks, hand mixers, and windshield
washers. Every day they use the same toaster
they had 55+ years ago.

in His Shop

After working hard in the shop or in the yard,
Lee likes to relax by solving word search puzzles.
Here's some samples
I made for him.
Prior
to his retirement, he was a mail carrier on
a rural mail route and owner/operator of a Mobilgas
station in Springview, Nebraska.
