She delivered the baby who was either born dead or died shortly after---Mary couldn't remem-ber which, as she was so young when it happened." Joan Osborne adds, "In my research I found that one of the worst tornadoes in Iowa history went through Comanche on Sunday, June 3, 1860. Elizabeth's death was 17 days later."
