Cousin Gerry comes over in the
morning and brings his beautiful granddaughter,
Elena. She is about 5? and full of energy. She
plays with us for awhile, until they need to go,
and we decide to pick up a few things at the mall.
We New Yorkers are mall-deprived,
and enjoy wandering around the nearly deserted
spaces, looking and shopping. Lorraine gets five
great shirts on sale, and I buy a few toiletries.
How do these places stay in business? They must
have very low overhead. I have popcorn and lemonade
for lunch.
For supper, we get a terrific pizza
from Papa
Murphy's (a meal in a slice.) Never heard
of them before, but really good.
Cousin Jack and Irma, both looking
marvelous, arrive in the evening and we have an
excellent time with them. Kati, their dog, entertains
us, too. They will stay with Gerry and Wilma.

It's a beautiful day. We're off
to the airport to pick up cousin Nancy. We drive
around town to run a few "roots" errands.
Nancy has planned a reunion party at a local restaurant.
We eat across the street in Johnny
J's, "a fifties style eating place."
Nancy and I check out La Costa, and think it will
be a good location if they will give us the side
room for ourselves.
We order the cakes at Albertson's
and then drive up Casper Mountain for a few sunset
shots. There is a couple there getting their wedding
picture taken. It makes a nice backdrop.
Home to Myrt's and a great ham
dinner that she whips up out of the refrigerator.
Jack and Irma stop by again for
another good visit.
